Hi! I’m Maryan Pelland—I’m 75 and have been a full-time writer since Moses lost his shoes (for 50 years, anyway). With some enthusiastic friends, I tried to create a community space for senior-age Substackers looking for support and encouragement. After half a year, we found that 176 really cool people signed up, but most were too busy to participate actively. We’re so, so grateful to all 176 for their support and energy. We’re closing down the pub for a number of reasons.
