Such a wonderful story of resilience and faith. I love the concept of kintsugi. Your pottery pieces are beautiful. I would bet that each tell a story of mending and healing. Love this essay.

"I learned to let go of things that didn’t serve me." Well, let me embroider that on a pillow! How beautiful your work is, how talented you are in clay. Perhaps better to say, how talented you BECAME. I would have danced for joy if I'd produced your first pinch pot. When I took pottery, the instructor used to say, "You must LOVE your clay." I used to say, "I don't even like mine!" I would so love to find an outlet as you have done. I guess the answer is, keep looking for it.
